Session 12 - 16 Working on your projects

You should have completed the Design Brief or be very close to finishing it.

Once you have completed your proposal, you can start to develop your website.

As mentioned previously, I recommend trying a couple of the website builders to see if they work for you and have a template that is suitable. When looking at templates, don't get bogged down with the style and colouring - look at the features and layout. You can always change graphics, colours, and of course content.

Based on PF1 and PF2, estimate the cost of the project 

Assessment 5 - completed website
PF1. Create website as per design brief
Include relevant high quality images
Include “real” text that is relevant
Correct spelling and grammar
Website to be copyright compliant
PF2. Website to include integrated social media as per design brief and Social Media Policy
Relevant social media accounts to be created as per social media policy
PF3. Put actual information into your timeline or tasks/activities – depending on which PM tool you have used
Compare planned timeline with actual time spent on each activity. Detail any differences and justify.
PF4. Thoroughly Test website, ensure all links work
Thoroughly test the social media links
Check that website works in at least 2 commonly used web browsers
Create a Project Deliverables checklist from deliverables and compare against final website
Write a close out report. It should include a summary of your finalisation process as well as lessons learned.

Assessment 6 - Website Review
R1. Complete each section of the template.
R2. Based on your review (R1), write a brief report 
R3. Provide a time and cost estimate for the Changes in R2.
